Southampton Man Charged with Aggravated Burglary

A man from Southampton has been charged following a burglary in the early hours of yesterday morning.

Police were called at around 1.30am on Sunday, 13 July, to reports of a burglary in progress at a property in the Shirley area of the city.

Officers attended the scene and arrested 38 year old Stuart Baldock, of Landguard Road, Southampton. He was arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary and possession of a knife or sharp pointed article.

Baldock has since been charged with both offences. He was remanded in custody and appeared before Southampton Magistrates’ Court this morning.
