Police Seek Man Following Sexual Assault on Two Girls in Southampton
Hampshire Constabulary has released a CCTV image of a man they wish to speak to in connection with a sexual assault in Southampton.
The incident occurred at around 7pm on Saturday, 10 May, when two girls aged 12 and 13 were sitting on a bench outside McDonald’s on Shirley High Street. Police say a man approached the pair, made inappropriate comments, and placed his hands on their legs. When the girls attempted to walk away, he is reported to have followed them.
The man is described as a white male, aged between 40 and 50, with short grey/brown hair, a beard, and a visible scar on his face. At the time of the incident, he was wearing blue jeans, a darker denim jacket, a green polo top, and black trainers.
This was a disturbing incident involving two young girls. Officers are keen to identify the man pictured so they can speak with him as part of their ongoing enquiries. If you have any information, please contact Hampshire Constabulary.
