Police Search for Wanted Man Jack Cooper After Blackfield Assault
Hampshire Police have issued an appeal to the public as officers continue efforts to trace 31 year old Jack Cooper, who is wanted in connection with an assault in the New Forest.
The incident occurred on 23 August in the car park of Sainsbury’s in Blackfield, where a 34 year old man was reportedly assaulted. Police say their teams have been pursuing “various lines of enquiry” but are now seeking the public’s help to locate Cooper.
Cooper is described as white, around 5ft 7ins tall, with mousey brown hair. A photograph released by police accompanies the appeal.
Members of the public are urged not to approach him. Anyone who believes they have seen Cooper or has information on his whereabouts is asked to call 999, quoting reference 44250383615.
Information can also be submitted online via the police website, or anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their online form.
Police have additionally warned that anyone found deliberately harbouring Cooper or obstructing efforts to find him could be committing an offence and may face arrest.
