Police Appeal for Witnesses After Pigeon Shot with Air Rifle

Police are appealing for information following a disturbing incident in which a pigeon was reportedly shot at with an air rifle by a group of teenagers.
The incident occurred between 6:58pm and 7:13pm on Sunday, 15 June, at Jubilee Field Recreation Ground in Lymington. According to initial reports, three teenage boys were seen firing at the bird, causing concern among nearby residents and park-goers.
One of the individuals involved has been described as:
• White
• Aged around 13 or 14
• Short fair hair
• Wearing a coloured top and camouflage-style shorts
Officers from Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or who may know the identity of those involved to come forward.
