Netley Man Charged with Assault and Weapon Offences After Vehicle Stop
A 22 year old man from Netley has been charged with multiple offences following a vehicle stop and search carried out by police on Saturday evening.
Officers stopped a vehicle on Netley Lodge Close on 12 July, where they arrested Wesley Solis-Velasco, of Victoria Road. Following the incident, Solis-Velasco was charged with driving over the legal alcohol limit, assault by beating of a police officer, and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
He has been released on bail and is scheduled to appear at Southampton Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 2 September.
