Man Sought Over Coffee Theft from Hedge End Co-op
Police have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with a shoplifting incident at a Co-op store in Hedge End.
The theft took place at the Co-op on Lower Northam Road between 11.55am and 12.05pm on Friday, 13 June 2025. It was reported that approximately £300 worth of coffee was stolen during the incident.
As part of their investigation, officers from Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary are appealing to the public to help identify the man pictured in the CCTV image.
He is described as:
• White
• Around 35 years old
• Approximately 7ft tall
• With ginger hair and a beard
• Wearing a hat
• Carrying a shoulder bag
Police believe the man may have information that could assist with their enquiries.
A spokesperson for the force said:
“We believe the man in this image can help us with our investigation and would urge him, or anyone who knows his identity, to get in touch with us.”
Members of the public who were in the area at the time, witnessed anything suspicious, or have relevant footage — including CCTV, mobile phone, dash cam or doorbell camera recordings — are urged to come forward.
