Heartfelt tributes for Southampton woman remembered as ‘good and kind’
Tributes have been paid to a woman described as “good and kind” after her death at an address in Southampton.
Police were called by the South Central Ambulance Service at around 1.38pm on Sunday, 5 October, following reports that a woman had died at an address on Redwood Way.
The woman has now been named as 38 year old Margarida Ressurreicao.
In a statement released through Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary, Margarida’s family said:
“We would like to thank everyone who has sent their condolences and everyone who knew Margarida.
“She was a very good and kind person and will be deeply missed. We are continuing to work very closely with the police and are being supported by Family Liaison Officers.
“If you have any information about Margarida that you think might be useful, we would urge you to speak with the police urgently. We would also request some privacy at this very difficult time. Thank you.”
Police confirmed that a 39 year old man from Southampton has been arrested on suspicion of murder. He has since been released on conditional bail until 5 January 2026 while enquiries continue.
Officers are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding Margarida’s death and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
