CCTV Images Released in Hedge End Shoplifting Investigation

Police are appealing for information following a reported shoplifting incident at a toy store in Hedge End.

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary have released CCTV images of two women they wish to speak to in connection with the theft, which occurred shortly after 10am on Tuesday 1 April at Smyths Toys, located on Tollbar Way, Hedge End.

It is reported that items including a baby carrier were stolen during the incident.

Descriptions Released

The first woman is described as:
• White
• Approximately 5ft 8ins tall
• Large build
• Dark hair worn in a bun
• Big lips
• Wearing sunglasses and a black jacket

The second woman is described as:
• Large build
• Olive or tanned skin
• Hair tied up
• Wearing an all-red outfit

The two women were reportedly accompanied by two young children at the time.

Appeal for Information

Officers believe the women captured on CCTV could have important information and are urging them—or anyone who recognises them—to come forward.

Members of the public who may have witnessed the incident, or who have CCTV, mobile phone, dash cam, or doorbell footage from the area around the time, are encouraged to contact police.
