Appeal Launched After Theft at Smyths Toys in Hedge End

Police have released CCTV images of two individuals they wish to speak to in connection with a reported shoplifting incident at Smyths Toys in Hedge End.

The incident occurred between 4:40pm and 4:55pm on Wednesday 18 June at the store located on Tollbar Way. According to police, a pushchair valued at £300 was stolen during the theft.

Officers are appealing to the public to help identify a man and woman captured on CCTV, who they believe may hold valuable information that could assist with their investigation.

The woman is described as:
• White
• Approximately 5ft 6ins tall
• Around 40 years old
• Believed to travelling in a gold Volvo

A spokesperson for Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary said:

“We believe the man and woman in these images can help us with our investigation and would urge them, or anyone who knows their identity, to get in touch with us.”

Police are also asking for any witnesses or those with CCTV, mobile phone footage, or dash cam recordings from the area during the time of the incident to get in touch.
