Appeal for Information After Six High-Value Bikes Stolen from Weston
Police are appealing for information following the theft of six high-value road bikes from a garage in the Weston area of Southampton.
Officers report that the burglary took place sometime between Monday 4 August and Friday 8 August, when unknown individuals gained access to a garage on Crookham Road.
A total of six custom Canyon bikes were stolen, including several distinctive models with unique colour schemes. Four of the bikes have been pictured and circulated as part of the investigation.
The stolen bikes are as follows:
• Canyon Ultimate Evo – white, green and yellow (pictured)
• Canyon Grail – black and blue (pictured)
• Canyon Inflite – yellow and black (pictured)
• Canyon Dude – teal green (pictured)
• Canyon Roadlite – black and green
• Canyon Roadlite – black
The combined value of the bikes is believed to be significant, and due to their custom builds, officers believe they will be difficult to sell without attracting attention.
Police are urging anyone who may have seen these bikes, or who has information about their whereabouts, to come forward. They are also appealing to residents in the area who may have CCTV or doorbell footage from the relevant dates to check for any suspicious activity.
Officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have been in the Crookham Road area between 4 and 8 August. If you saw anything unusual, or have footage that might assist with their enquiries, please get in touch with them.
Members of the public can contact police by calling 101 and quoting the reference number 44250357470.
Alternatively, information can be reported online via the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary website, or anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111.
