Appeal for Information After Clothes Stolen from Local Recycling Banks

Hampshire Police are appealing for information and footage following a series of thefts from clothing recycling points across Totton, Southampton, and North Baddesley in October.

The most recent incident occurred at around 4pm on Tuesday, 21 October, at a recycling point on Fleming Avenue, North Baddesley.

Officers are also investigating similar incidents at:
• Morrisons, Spruce Drive, Totton
• Asda, Maynard Road, Totton
• Lordshill Community Centre, Cromarty Road

Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity or has dash cam, CCTV, or mobile phone footage from these areas to come forward.

A 33 year old man from London has been arrested on suspicion of several offences, including going equipped for theft, theft, handling stolen goods, and controlling a thing knowing it was a counterfeit currency note.

He has since been released on conditional police bail while enquiries continue.
