Witnesses Sought After Pickup Truck Stolen from Fair Oak Petrol Station
Police are appealing for witnesses after a pickup truck was stolen from a petrol station forecourt in Fair Oak.
The incident occurred between 4.55pm and 5pm on 20 November at the Tesco Express petrol station on Winchester Road. According to officers, a brown Volkswagen Amarok was taken in what appears to have been a coordinated theft.
Investigators say two men arrived at the forecourt on a red and white motorcycle, both dressed in black clothing. One of the men dismounted the bike, approached the Amarok and entered through the driver’s side before driving away from the forecourt. The motorcycle rider also left the scene moments later, with both vehicles heading along Winchester Road in the direction of Botley.
Police believe several people may have witnessed the incident or captured it on dash-cam or mobile phone cameras.
A spokesperson for Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary urged the public to come forward:
“We believe there may have been witnesses to the incident and would urge anyone with any information or footage, including dash cam and mobile phone, to please get in contact with us.”
