Large Knife and Suspected Class A Drugs Seized in Proactive Eastleigh Stop

A routine proactive policing operation in Eastleigh yesterday evening (11 December) led to the seizure of a large knife and several packages of white powder believed to be Class A drugs.

Officers from Eastleigh’s Neighbourhood Enforcement Team (NET) carried out a targeted stop after identifying a vehicle of interest. During the search, officers recovered the weapon along with multiple wraps of the suspected drugs. The individual involved was arrested at the scene and taken into custody for questioning.

Police say the swift and decisive action prevented harmful substances and dangerous weapons from reaching the community.

A spokesperson for the Eastleigh NET team said:
“Keeping weapons and drugs off our streets is a priority, and we’ll continue working hard to protect our community.”

The investigation is ongoing as officers work to determine the source and intended distribution of the substances.

Residents are encouraged to report any suspicious behaviour to police.
