Man Sought in Connection with Shoplifting at Hythe Waitrose

Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary is appealing for information after a reported shoplifting incident at Waitrose on High Street, Hythe.

The incident occurred on Tuesday 27 January, between 3:05pm and 3:10pm, when approximately £182.12 worth of beef was stolen.

Officers are keen to speak to a man in connection with the incident. He is described as:
• Asian, aged 23–30
• Around 5ft 8in tall with a slim build
• Black hair and beard
• Wearing a black jacket, grey tracksuit bottoms, and grey trainers

Police are asking anyone who recognises this man, or who witnessed the incident or saw anything suspicious in the area at the time, to come forward.
