Appeal Launched After Mobile Phone Theft in Hythe
Police are appealing to the public for help in identifying a man they wish to speak to following a reported theft at a property on Ladycross Road, Hythe.
The incident occurred between 3pm and 8.30pm on Monday 21 July, when an unknown man attended the address under the pretence of purchasing a mobile phone.
According to reports, the man examined the device before secretly swapping the phone box with another containing stock cubes, leaving with the genuine phone without handing over any money. The theft was only discovered after the man had left the premises.
Police have now released images of a man they believe could assist with their investigation. Officers are urging this individual, or anyone who may recognise him, to come forward.
Authorities are also appealing to anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area at the time, or who may have relevant CCTV, mobile phone, dash cam, or doorbell footage.
